Note;

  • The folio initially displayed below each thumbnail is pulled from the page label of the PDF
  • Changing the folio in the thumbnail layout does not change the print order/sequence - it is a visual reference only
  • Mac users; Control-click on a Mac is similar to a right-click on a Windows computer. Press and hold the Control key while you click an item

Begin by accessing the thumbnail layout by clicking on either the component page thumbnail or the 'View Pages' link.

Once the thumbnail layout appears, select the required page(s)*. Tip - To select continuous pages, click on the first page you want. Press and hold the Shift key. Then, click on the last page you want. All pages in between the first and last page will be selected.

Right-click on any selected page to access the Folios contextual menu as shown here. In this example, ordinal page positions 1-18 have been selected and will be changed from Arabic to Roman numerals.

After selecting the Folios contextual menu, choose the applicable options from the Folios window as shown here. Choose a Folio Style of Arabic, Roman or Alphabetic from the drop down-menu. Input a starting value, (e.g., Roman numeral i). The starting value is applied to the first page selected and numbered sequentially for the remaining selected pages. Choose a Folio Add-on if appliable, (i.e., prefix or suffix) from the drop-down menu. Finally, click the Save changes button once the Folios window is configured as needed.

The previously selected 18 pages now display Roman numerals in sequential order. Ordinal page positions 19-32 remain unchanged and may be folioed to reflect Arabic numerals 1-14.

The above process is repeated by selecting ordinal page positions 19-32 but the Folios window is configured as shown here.

After clicking the Save changes button, the folio sequence reflects 18 Roman numeral pages and 14 Arabic numeral pages.

* Changing the folio on a single, selected page displays the window as shown here. Manually enter a Folio Style of Arabic, Roman or Alphabetic and a prefix or suffix as needed. Click the Save button when done.
